1959 Corvette

One of the earliest 1959 Corvettes known to exist. The VIN is J59S100015, which makes this the 15th car in production, which also makes it known as a Pilot Car. There were 20 pilot cars produced in 1959. Numbers 3, 4, 10, 15, 18 and 20 are the only ones that are known at this time to still exist. It is Roman Red with Snowcrest Coves and a white convertible top. It has a 283 4-barrel engine with a 4-speed transmission. The engine heads, exhaust and intake manifolds, carburetor and generator are original, although the block is not. The transmission and rear end are also original to the car. This car was loaded with factory options when new, such as 2 tone paint, sun visors, power top, courtesy lights, 4-speed manual transmission, heat and defrost and windshield washers. The clock and tach also still work, which is a rarity for this car. Paint, interior, chrome and underside of this car are all in beautiful condition. This car is a pleasure to drive. Mileage is not verifiable.
